About Zyloh Physio

A specialist pelvic health clinic — not a general practice with a pelvic health interest

Book Your Consultation

Zyloh Physio exists because pelvic health is repeatedly treated as a minor add-on to general physiotherapy, and it is not. The conditions are complex, frequently misdiagnosed, and sit at the intersection of urology, gynaecology, colorectal medicine and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. They need a clinician who works in that field full time.

The clinic is in Woodford Green, north-east London, and is led by Jency Sudha, a Consultant Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with over 19 years of experience, an MSc in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and a Highly Specialised Physiotherapist post within the colorectal and pelvic floor team at the Royal London Hospital.

How we work

Assessment before treatment

Nobody is given exercises before someone has checked whether they can perform one correctly. A substantial proportion of people contract the pelvic floor incorrectly from written instructions alone — some bearing down instead of lifting, which makes symptoms worse.

One clinician throughout

You see the same specialist at every appointment. Pelvic floor rehabilitation is tracked through small changes in muscle function over months, which is difficult to follow when patients rotate between therapists.

Time to do it properly

First appointments are a full 60 minutes. That is what a detailed history, physical assessment, explanation and programme actually take.

Consent is continuous

Internal examination is offered because it is the most accurate assessment available, never because it is required. It is explained fully first, it is optional, and consent can be withdrawn at any point.

Whole-system treatment

Breathing, the abdominal wall, hips and back, bladder and bowel habits, and load management all interact with pelvic floor function. Treating one part in isolation is why many people plateau.

Honest about limits

Some problems need urogynaecology, colorectal surgery, a pain service or medical menopause management. Recognising that and referring on is part of good care.

NHS experience behind private care

Jency combines private practice at Zyloh Physio with an NHS post in the colorectal and pelvic floor team at the Royal London Hospital. That tertiary NHS setting brings regular exposure to complex presentations — obstetric anal sphincter injury, severe prolapse, refractory bowel dysfunction, post-surgical complications — and to the multidisciplinary pathways surrounding them.

The practical benefit for private patients is judgement: knowing which problems respond well to physiotherapy, which need investigation first, and which need onward referral rather than another course of exercises.
