Our Services

Specialist assessment and treatment, delivered by one clinician throughout

Book Your Consultation

Every service below is delivered by Jency Sudha, a Consultant Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with an MSc in Obstetrics and Gynaecology who also works within the colorectal and pelvic floor team at the Royal London Hospital. You see the same clinician throughout your programme — which matters, because pelvic floor rehabilitation depends on tracking small changes in muscle function over months.

Appointments are at the clinic in Woodford Green, or by secure video anywhere in the UK.

Assessment services

Comprehensive pelvic floor assessment — 60 minutes

The core service. Detailed history, posture, breathing and load-transfer assessment, abdominal wall examination, and — with your consent — internal assessment of pelvic floor strength, endurance, coordination, tone and prolapse grade. You leave with a written programme. See what to expect.

Postnatal assessment

A full postpartum check covering pelvic floor, abdominal separation, scar tissue, bladder and bowel function, and readiness to return to exercise. Babies welcome. See postnatal physiotherapy.

Return-to-exercise screening

Objective load and impact testing to establish whether you are ready to resume running, lifting or high-impact classes — and, if not, precisely which capacity is missing.

Second-opinion review

A specialist review of an existing diagnosis or programme, particularly useful if you have been told surgery is the only option or have not improved on exercises you were given.

Treatment services

Supervised pelvic floor muscle training

The evidence-based first-line treatment for stress incontinence and mild to moderate prolapse. Supervision is the point: a substantial proportion of people contract incorrectly when working from written instructions alone. See our exercises guide.

Real-time biofeedback

Visual feedback showing exactly what your pelvic floor is doing, used when the muscle is hard to locate or activate. See biofeedback therapy.

PTNS and TTNS neuromodulation

Tibial nerve stimulation for overactive bladder and bowel urgency that has not responded to first-line treatment. Delivered as a course. See PTNS treatment.

Bladder and bowel retraining

Urgency deferral, timed voiding, defaecation mechanics, and fluid and fibre management for urgency, frequency, constipation and incomplete emptying.

Scar assessment and mobilisation

For caesarean scars, perineal tears and episiotomy sites — restoring tissue glide and reducing sensitivity, including years after the event.

Pessary assessment and support

Conservative prolapse management alongside pelvic floor rehabilitation. See pessary support.

Manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation

For back pain, pelvic girdle pain, coccyx pain, sciatica and post-operative recovery. See back pain physiotherapy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you treat men as well as women?

Yes. The core specialism is pelvic and women's health, and men's pelvic health is also treated — including continence rehabilitation before and after prostate surgery, chronic pelvic pain, and bladder and bowel dysfunction — alongside general musculoskeletal physiotherapy such as back pain and post-operative rehabilitation.

Will I see the same physiotherapist each time?

Yes. Assessment and treatment are carried out by Jency Sudha throughout your programme. Continuity matters in pelvic health because progress is measured by subtle changes in muscle function that are difficult to track across different clinicians.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book directly as a self-referring patient. A referral may be required by your insurer if you are claiming on a private policy, and referrals from GPs, urogynaecologists, colorectal surgeons and midwifery teams are welcome.

Where is the clinic?
